Privacy policy

How we handle your information and your guests' information. The short version: we use it only to make and deliver your invitations, and we never sell it.

Last updated October 21, 2026.

What we collect

When you order or contact us: your name, email, phone number, event details, the text and photos you add to your invitation, and your order and payment status. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number.

When you use text or print delivery: the guest names, mobile numbers and mailing addresses you send us.

When guests RSVP: the name, reply, head count and any answers to your Smart RSVP questions.

When you chat with our concierge: the conversation and any contact details you choose to share.

When you browse: basic technical data such as pages visited, device and browser type and approximate location from your IP address, used to keep the site secure and understand what is useful.

How we use it

To make and deliver your invitation, send it by email, text or mail when you ask us to, show you your RSVPs, reply to your questions, process payment, and keep the service secure. We use guest contact details only to deliver your invitation and the reminders you request. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your guests' details for our own marketing.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run Glidvite, under confidentiality: hosting, email delivery, text message carriers, our printing and mailing partner (names and addresses for cards you order), payment processing, and our chat and analytics tools. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Text messages

Glidvite sends text messages only to people who asked for them on our site: guests who tick "Text me updates about this event" when they RSVP, and hosts who tick "Text me about my order and RSVPs". We use your mobile number only to send those texts and to answer your replies. Hosts may share a Glidvite invitation link from their own phone; those messages come from the host, not from Glidvite, and we do not text numbers a host gives us unless that guest opts in themselves.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers and text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented or shared with anyone, except with the phone carriers and messaging providers that deliver our texts. All the categories of sharing described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent.

You can reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Details: Glidvite text messaging terms.

Cookies and similar tools

We use essential cookies and local storage to run the site and the chat assistant, and privacy friendly analytics to understand which pages help visitors. You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though the chat may not remember your conversation.

How long we keep it

Invitation pages stay online for the active period of your plan (3 or 6 months). We keep order records as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. Guest lists and RSVP data are deleted within 12 months after your event, or sooner if you ask.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, or your guests' information, by emailing hello@gildvite.com. Guests can ask the host, or us directly. We respond within 30 days. Residents of states with privacy laws, including California, have these rights by law, and we extend them to everyone.

Children

Glidvite is for adults planning events. Invitations may mention a child's name or birthday, but we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

Security

We use encrypted connections, restricted access and reputable providers to protect your information. No system is perfect, so please do not put sensitive personal details in an invitation.
